Pamela Anderson Revisits Iconic '90s VMAs Look at Jacquemus Show

Pamela Anderson has always known how to serve up style, but now the actress is reaching back into her own archives for inspiration. While attending Jacquemus' Spring/Summer 2023 fashion show in Le Bourget, France, Anderson arrived in a silky gown with a high slit and fringe detailing at the waist, accessorized by a single long white glove and a matching oversized fringed hat. While the look itself matches the tenor of Jacquemus' collection, longtime fans of Anderson—or more recent fans of Pam & Tommy—see the hat as a clear reference to her iconic 1999 MTV VMAs look. 

For those who don't remember the outfit in question, Anderson hit the award show red carpet in a large fuzzy pink hat, a waist-cinching corset, and sequined pants. Perhaps more buzzworthy at the time was her date—her ex-husband Tommy Lee who she divorced the previous year.

The ensemble is considered so iconic that a number of fans, including celebrities like Kim Kardashian, have recreated it for Halloween, even before the Pam & Tommy popularity returned Anderson to the spotlight.

While she took a hiatus from the entertainment world for a few years, Anderson has recently taken her talents to the stage, starring in Chicago on Broadway. Following the questions about her participation in Pam & Tommy, the Baywatch star revealed earlier this year that she would be releasing a Netflix documentary about her life and career with Ryan White directing. However, no new information about the project has emerged since the initial announcement.
