Models are known for their beauty and drive, so it makes sense that so many of these gorgeous women step into entrepreneurial roles. While we know so many beauty brands by models, many of them have also started fashion brands. Often intertwining their own style and ideas into their labels, these models emphasize their ability to work hard for what they love.

From Gigi Hadid's cashmere label to Ashley Graham's size-inclusive brand, L'OFFICIEL looks at some of the best fashion brands from models.

Elsa Hosk

Elsa Hosk, the former Victoria's Secret Angel, started her clothing brand, Helsa, in 2022. The Los Angeles-based studio designs simple yet chic pieces inspired by Scandinavian fashion. Hosk blends her love for effortless essentials and the importance of living in the moment with Helsa.

Gigi Hadid

Guest in Residence, the cashmere brand by Gigi Hadid, speaks to Hadid's life as a model. Constantly moving from hotel to hotel, she was truly a guest in residence. She created this brand to bring the constant comfort of cashmere directly to consumers. Also passionate about sustainability, Hadid wanted to design heirlooms rather than clothes that expire as the seasons change.

Kendall Jenner

Though we first knew her from her time on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kendall Jenner soon became the highest-paid model in the world. She and her sister, Kylie Jenner began their clothing brand, Kendall + Kylie, in 2012 when they were only young teenagers. However, the brand is still a successful girl's line and yet another Kar-Jenner company

Alexa Chung

Cool girl Alexa Chung released her eponymous clothing brand in 2017. Chung, a former model and TV personality, known for her preppy, twee style, highlighted her love of fashion with her label. Sadly, the brand closed shop in 2022 after the COVID-19 pandemic and all of the difficulties it brought.

Emily Ratajkowski

Emily Ratajkowski has been doing single life right. But even before she was inspiring us all with her podcast, High Low, she was working on her swimwear brand, Inamorata. Inspired by the Southern California beaches that she grew up on, these designs embrace self-love and looking good.

Ashley Graham

Supermodel Ashley Graham has been honest about her dislike for the label, "plus-size." In an interview with L'OFFICIEL Italia, she says, "I'm not a plus-sized model. I'm a model of my size." And that's exactly what brought her to create Commonry, a clothing brand for women size 10-22. With this brand, Graham emphasizes the importance of a good fit in feeling confident, and this brand ensures that all women can dress to make them feel beautiful.

Candice Swanepoel

Another former Victoria's Secret Angel, Candace Swanepoel is inspired by nature. Her lifestyle brand, Tropic of C, is "influenced by nature, inspired by the female form." This swimwear and clothing company interweaves Swanepoel's passion for sustainability with her love of the beach
