Gigi Hadid is the newest celeb to join the world of knitwear.

Previously seen as big, clunky, and unfashionable garments, knitwear is now being redesigned and reimagined, further pushing these styles to the forefront of fashion. Celebrity fashion icon and musician Harry Styles has been spotted in a plethora of knitwear garments, ranging from printed sweater vests to multi-colored cardigans. Models like Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid have begun incorporating sweater vests into their model-off-duty wardrobes. All this is to say, knitwear is back, and it's not going anywhere.

Need further proof? Celebrities are breaking into the knitwear business. Take a look below at three celebrities who are taking knitwear to the next level.

Guest in Residence

Model Gigi Hadid is known for wearing some of the world's most beautiful clothing while strutting down the runway. But none of the designs have been her own. Sure, she's done collaborations with brands like Frankie's Bikinis and with iconic designers like Tommy Hilfiger, but she's ready to do it on her own. The model has launched her own knitwear line—Guest in Residence.

She shared the news with fans on social media in August 2022. In a carousel of images, fans got a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to make a knitwear brand. Aside from images of tons of fabric samples, in one image, Hadid sported an orange pullover sweater, while in another image, she donned a loose-fitting matching set that was giving pajama-chic vibes.

Hadid also changed her Instagram bio to reflect this new entrepreneurial journey. "Founder, creative director @guestinresidence."

Ella Emhoff Knits

While some might know her because of her stepmother, Vice President Kamala Harris, she really should be known for her funky, one-of-a-kind knitwear designs. The 23-year-old dropped her first designs back in June, featuring a variety of striped sweaters, funky pants, and colorful bonnets. And even though Emhoff's business is new, Emhoff is already familiar with the world of knitwear. In 2021, she collaborated with designer Batsheva Hay, creating three knitwear items—two tops and a bag. And even before this, she launched a knitwear collection on Mall, a shopping platform. Not long after it went live, the collection sold out.

Made With Love

You've probably seen already seen the viral photos of Tom Daley knitting in the stands at the Tokyo Olympics. But did you know that he actually has his own line of knitwear? Aside from premade pieces, Made With Love also has knitting kits available for purchase. This way, customers have a guide to follow, but they still get to do all the knitting themselves.

God's True Cashmere

In 2022, Brad Pitt moved into the fashion game with the cashmere brand, God's True Cashmere, which he co-founded with his friend Sat Hari, a holistic healer and jewelry designer.
