Louis Vuitton to Hold Cruise 2025 Show in Barcelona

The Maison’s upcoming destination show also marks its collaboration with the Spanish city.

Celebrating a series of collaborations with the Catalan capital, Louis Vuitton’s artistic director of womenswear, Nicholas Ghesquière, picks the city of Barcelona, Spain, for the showing of the Maison’s Cruise 2025 collection. The destination show, which will be held on May 23 this year, will showcase Ghesquière’s latest collection steeped in the “Art of Travel.” The exact venue is yet to be announced.

Alongside the show, Louis Vuitton’s collaborative efforts with Barcelona extend to the prestigious Louis Vuitton 37th America’s Cup Barcelona, commencing this summer. The French fashion house will also host various events, including hospitality, an exhibition, and cultural activities. Following the show, Louis Vuitton will also unveil its City Guide for Barcelona, aiming to promote the city’s vibrant creativity and design community. 

“It is an immense pleasure to collaborate with the city of Barcelona sharing common values with Louis Vuitton that are deeply anchored into a remarkable heritage and the passion for creativity,” said Louis Vuitton Chairman and CEO Pietro Beccari in a release. The upcoming Cruise fashion show, encapsulating Women’s Artistic Director Nicolas Ghesquière’s vision for the collection, as well as the upcoming Louis Vuitton Cup and the 37th America’s Cup will undoubtfully capture Louis Vuitton’s long-standing relationship with Barcelona and the Catalan region in the most ultimate way,” Beccari added. 

Dedicated to tradition, culture, and innovation, the Maison has previously held destination runway shows at cultural and architectural landmarks like Isola Bella on Lake Maggiore and Oscar Niemeyer’s Contemporary Art Museum in Niterói, to name a few.
