Kate Moss is the Latest Face of Skims
The '90s supermodel brings her posing prowess to Kim Kardashian's loungewear brand.
All things Y2K are back with a bang, and that includes the talents of supermodels that defined the '90s and early 2000s. In a collaboration that combines nostalgia for the runways of a bygone era with our modern demand for athleisure, multihyphenate Kim Kardashian has tapped the legendary Kate Moss as the face of her loungewear brand Skims.
"I first met Kate in 2014 through Ricardo Tisci, and was instantly struck by her cheeky humor, authentic and classic beauty—we’ve been friends ever since!" Kardashian wrote on Twitter to announce the partnership. During Kardashian's recent controversial trip to the Vatican, the pair were spotted together along with Moss' model daughter Lila.
"She is THE fashion icon, defining a whole generation of style and I am honored to feature her as the new face of @SKIMS this Summer!" Kardashian continued.
Previously, other famous faces that modeled for Skims include TikTok star Addison Rae, Y2K icon and socialite Paris Hilton, and, of course, Kim's sisters Kendall, Kylie, Kourtney, and Khloé.
The loungewear brand has gotten plenty of press recently, as it was named the official underwear of the U.S. Olympic team for this year. The Team USA launch included loungewear, pajamas, and underwear for American female athletes competing in the Tokyo Olympics—making Skims the first brand to have an official collaboration with the U.S. team.
