The fashion icon who shaped J.Crew's legacy has always had a keen eye for style.&nbsp;

Often credited as the driving force behind the brand&rsquo;s transformation, Lyons is widely recognized for shaping J.Crew into the fashion powerhouse it is today.
As the brand&rsquo;s president and executive creative director, Lyons oversaw an image overhaul that turned <a href="https://preview.lofficielusa.com/fashion/maggie-gyllenhaal-peter-sarsgaard-j-crew-personal-style" target="_blank" rel="noopener">J.Crew</a> into one of the most coveted mainstream fashion brands in the U.S. With a keen eye for design and marketing, she was truly a trailblazer in the fashion industry as a leader. Lyons began her fashion career with a Fine Arts degree from Parsons New School of Design and an internship at Donna Karan. However, 1990 was the beginning of a legacy that would follow her for years to come. Lyons joined J.Crew as a junior designer, climbing the ranks to vice president of women&rsquo;s design by 2003. Under the leadership of CEO Mickey Drexler, Lyons spearheaded a design renaissance for the brand, introducing fresh styles and notable collaborations with designers like Prabal Gurung and Sperry Topsider.

In 2010, she was promoted to president, further cementing her influence in the industry. Lyons' tenure saw <a href="https://preview.lofficielusa.com/fashion/maryam-nassir-zadeh-j-crew-collection" target="_blank" rel="noopener">J.Crew&rsquo;s</a> expansion into new markets, including the opening of its first UK store in 2013. After 26 years with J.Crew, Lyons stepped down in April 2017, marking the end of an era. But her departure was far from a retreat. In 2020, Lyons launched her own beauty venture focused on reinventing fake lashes, inspired by her personal experience with lash growth issues. She also ventured into television with her HBO Max series, Stylish with Jenna Lyons, showcasing her impeccable style and entrepreneurial spirit. Currently, she's a star on Bravo's The Real Housewives of New York City.
