Hailey Bieber Reveals Why She Left the Runway
Hailey Bieber takes a step back from the demanding side of modeling to focus on other life goals.
Hailey Bieber is one of the biggest models of the new generation. She's appeared on thousands of magazine covers and shot campaigns for some of the most famous brands in the world. She is currently managed by IMG Models, the same company that has cared for Gisele Bündchen's career for over 20 years.
Despite her success, Bieber has not been seen walking in runway shows for years. The last time she was seen walking down the runway was in 2018 for Versace's Pre-Fall 2019 collection. The reason for Bieber's departure from the catwalk has been a mystery, until now.
In an interview with Allure, Bieber opened up about the traumatic situation that led her to give up on walking in shows. She said "I had a really bad experience with a casting director who was very important. He said something to my agent that shook my confidence when it came to the catwalks."
She added, "I don't want to feel bad about myself in this space because I feel really good about the other jobs I do. So why would I put myself in a position to feel small?"
Now, Bieber spends her time shooting for campaigns and working on her beauty line, Rhode Beauty. Bieber's most recent campaigns include Jimmy Choo Spring/Summer 2022 and Miu Miu's Basic Instincts Campaign. The model has teased her beauty line over the last year and finally announced that it will be released in June of this year.
