While speaking on a podcast, Hailey Bieber opened about her husband's sobriety and her family's struggles with drugs and alcohol.

<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/hailey-bieber-birthday-street-style" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Hailey Bieber</a> is opening her heart about her trajectory and personal issues. Not long after revealing that starting her <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/most-popular-celebrity-wedding-dresses-meghan-markle-hailey-bieber" target="_blank" rel="noopener">marriage</a> to <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/justin-bieber-style-evolution-songs-baby" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Justin Bieber</a> was very difficult for her, the model has spoken up about her family's addiction problems, as well as how difficult it was to return to this subject with her husband about his sobriety.
&ldquo;There are many addictions in our family. Not just my dad, but a lot of other people on that side of my family struggled with a lot of different things," revealed Hailey during the Victoria Secret Voices podcast. According to the model, her father had problems with cocaine which is why she has never tried it for fear that it would lead to something more.

"My dad was always very open about why being sober worked for him and why he needed to be sober, what the alcoholic behavior is like, and where that comes from," explained Hailey.
Due to all her family experience, participating in Justin's sobriety process was difficult for the model, who described "looking back to the times of drug use" and talking about it as extremely difficult. However, she explained that it helped her to be open to talking to Justin about the subject.

&ldquo;I've had moments where I was nervous [to ask Justin] 'Are you okay to do this? Because you had a time in your life where it wasn't okay for you and it was like a tough time for you,'&rdquo; she explained. Still, she said that her husband has good self-awareness and is very open about his sobriety journey, which is all she could have expected from him.
