The Best Red Carpet Looks from the 2021 Fashion Awards
From Kris Jenner to Dua Lipa, last night, some of the world's most fashionable stars hit the red carpet to honor the designers they love.
The Fashion Awards are one of the most anticipated events in the world of fashion. After a year-long hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the annual British Fashion Awards have returned stronger than ever to the Royal Albert Hall in London. The British Fashion Council presented the gala with TikTok, allowing fans to experience the event in a different way and get closer to its stars.
The big winners of the night were Kim Jones (who was named Designer of the Year), Simone Rocha (who took home British Independent Designer of the Year), and Nensi Dojaka, the emerging creator who won the BFC Foundation Award. Gucci Creative Director Alessandro Michele also won the Trailblazer Award. In addition, throughout the night, Virgil Abloh was honored, who died last Sunday at the age of 41 after a two-year fight with cancer.
This year's host Billy Porter made a grand entrance accompanied by a wonderful cast of dancers, all dresses as Kim Kardashian from the 2021 Met Gala. The actor, singer, director, songwriter, and playwright did not go unnoticed in his houndstooth Richard Quinn dress, which featured exaggerated shoulder pads and dazzling sequins.
