Dakota Johnson Sets The Season's Hottest Trend
The Fifty Shades of Grey actress is not afraid to bring sexy to the red carpet.
Dakota Johnson incorporated one of her most iconic characters during the red carpet premiere of The Lost Daughter on Tuesday, September 28, during the 59th New York Film Festival. Johnson looked ethereal as the actress walked the red carpet with her signature hair down, bangs in place, with simple nude makeup.
For the occasion, the 31-year-old star opted for a pair of leather pants styled with a corset, one of the biggest trends of the season that embodies sexy and sultry—much like her character's style in Fifty Shades of Grey. Johnson topped off the ensemble with a simple pair of espresso-shade heels and minimal jewelry.
The corset is a very classic piece of women's wardrobe. But for many, incorporating this type of piece into their wardrobes can be a very challenging task. Last season, we saw several brands betting on the trend for their collections, such as Dion Lee and Thom Browne.
Johnson stars as one of the protagonists of the new film inspired by the homonymous book by Italian writer Elena Ferrante. Other than Johnson, the movie consists of a star-studded cast including Oscar-winning actress Olivia Colman and directed by Maggie Gyllenhaal.
