'Cruella' is Getting a Sequel
Disney is already planning a sequel for the recently released 'Cruella,' starring Emma Stone.
It seems that Disney's new movie, Cruella, which opened on May 28, has not only conquered the fashion world, but is also a blockbuster worldwide. But for those who think the story is over, get ready for more.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the cast and crew will return for a sequel. Emma Stone will reprise her lead role, as well as director Craig Gillespie and screenwriter Tony McNamara.
Although Disney hasn't given any official announcement about the sequel's speculations, the company acknowledged the film's good performance with audiences and critics alike. A formal announcement is expected to be made when the production leaves theaters.
Both Stone and Emma Thompson (who plays Baroness von Hellman) have already expressed interest in a sequel.
The reception of costume designer Jenny Beavan's awe-inspiring work for the film has also been noteworthy. In total, the film featured 270 costumes and around 120 pairs of glasses that channel the punk revolution of the '70s that defined the period of the film and its characters.
