Coperni Is Taking Paris Fashion Week To Disneyland
Coperni, the independent French label, will debut their Spring/Summer 2025 show at Disneyland Paris at the end of Paris Fashion Week.
Coperni's founders Sébastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant are used to pushing the envelope when it comes to the possibilities of runway shows. Ever experimental, the French label is known for blending technology and location with their designs to create an immersive, unforgettable experience. Viral moments like spraying a dress onto Bella Hadid live during their Spring 2023 ready-to-wear show, hosting a drive-in fashion show during the coronavirus pandemic and bringing robot dogs to their Fall/Winter 2023 show have ensured that Coperni fashion shows are now a fundamental part of Paris Fashion Week every year.
Their plans for the latest Spring/Summer collection are just as unexpected and exciting as their past runways, and the label is already making headlines months before the show has taken place. On the evening of October 1st, Disneyland Paris will host the Coperni Spring/Summer 2025 fashion show. Coperni's show will serve as the close to Paris Fashion Week this year, as it is set to run from September 23rd to October 1st. The show will be livestreamed on Coperniparis.com and on Coperni’s social media.
Coperni was co-founded in 2013 by Meyer and Vaillant after the pair met in fashion school in Paris. Meyer studied Fashion Design and Vaillant studied Fashion Business and Management. The brand has thrived under the partners' complementary skillsets with Meyer as the creative director and Vaillant as the CEO.
Coperni plans to reflect and redefine modern feminity by using Disneyland Paris, the number one tourist destination in Europe, as the backdrop for the collection. The atmosphere, full of both magic and modernity, will set the brand up for success as it seeks to blend the timeless stories of the Disney princesses with the stories of women today, all while pushing their signature interest in modern technology even further.
Coperni's show marks the first time that Disneyland Paris has ever hosted a fashion show, and the collection will be inspired by many of the Disney princesses as a way to pay tribute to the movies that left an impression on the founders' childhoods. In an interview with WWD, Vaillant said, "“Of course, we’ll be giving it the Coperni touch so we’ll be approaching it in a cool, contemporary, innovative and tech-savvy way, but we always like to evolve the style of the Coperni woman."
The location for the show promises ample opportunity for Coperni to explore intersections between modern technology and clothing again, but it also sets the stage for revisiting the past through the folktales and fairytales of our collective youth.
