Elizaveta Porodina Captures Carolina Herrera's Pre-Fall and Fall 2022 Collections

In today's fashion climate, simplicity and elegance feel like a lost art. Between a logomania revival and exceedingly loud street styles, Wes Gordon's designs are a breath of fresh air.

Taking on the role of creative director in 2018, Gordon has been praised for the reworking of Carolina Herrera’s signature elements and colorful designs with a modern yet playful touch. In an interview with Vogue, the designer explained, “It’s not about reinventing the wheel, or over-intellectualizing fashion here; it’s just about embracing the fact that we can be a brand where you come and see something that’s really beautiful.” Certainly, he's accomplished this and more with his latest Fall/Winter 2022 collection.

For the fourth consecutive season, Gordon collaborated with photographer Elizaveta Porodina to unveil beautiful, almost poetic images of the Fall/Winter 2022 and Pre-Fall 2022 collections. Despite the collection's equally stunning runway debut, Porodina brings a sense of visual artistry, capturing the strong firey mood of Gordon's designs. The images are also reminiscent of fashion sketches, often the first step in an outfit's creation, giving the overall collection of photos an element of full-circle appreciation for a designer's creative process. And Gordon certainly understands how to design for the empowered Carolina Herrera woman.
