Blake Lively's Looks Are Turning Heads on the 'It Ends With Us' Press Tour
The Gossip Girl star's summer style is in full bloom.
Oops, she’s worn it again. That’s right, Blake Lively just brought Britney Spears’ legendary 2002 vintage floral Versace dress back to the red carpet in a moment of pure millennial pride.
In an interview with People, Lively said that she was awestruck by the opportunity to wear the historic dress at the New York premiere of It Ends With Us: “It is Britney’s actual dress, it should be in the Smithsonian or the Met. But it’s on me,” Lively said. The dress pays homage to the iconic singer of “Toxic” and is also consistent with the floral-themed outfits that Lively has worn throughout this summer, inspired by Lily Bloom, the character that she plays in It Ends With Us. At the same event, she was photographed with her husband Ryan Reynolds, and his Deadpool and Wolverine co-star, Hugh Jackman.
It Ends With Us is a romance movie that hits theaters beginning Friday, August 9. It grapples with the dangers of those closest to you, and is based on the 2016 novel of the same name by Colleen Hoover. The film adaptation is certain to be just as intense… and just as rewarding. It boasts a star-studded cast, including Jenny Slate, Justin Baldoni, and Hasan Minhaj alongside Lively. Red Carpet events for the highly-publicized film have been full of great looks, but consistently leading the charge is of course Lively, known for bombshell red carpet looks all the way back to her time acting on Gossip Girl.
