Romeo, oh Romeo. Why the fuck didn’t you text me back Romeo?!

Francesco Ragazzi may have reintroduced the modern day star crossed lover today at his Men's Spring 2020 collection for Palm Angles. The Hawaiian shirt seen around the world on Leonardo Dicaprio in Baz Luhrmann’s 1996 adaption of Romeo & Juliet was introduced on the runway paired with black trousers with a red stripe on the side. Just as Dicaprio’s girlfriends remain the same age, the shirt still feels fresh, and Diet Prada was quick to point out the reference. A wardrobe for the modern heartthrob: who leaves you on read, queer baits when drunk, claims to not wash his legs but really does. Would Mercutio be sporting a black and white jersey with tan straight leg trousers and a knit beanie? Father Lawrence in an all-white Twill workers jacket and trousers with a white sneaker to marry our newfound Romeo who probably lives on Complex?

Butterflies fit for Mariah Carey’s entourage appeared on varsity jackets, hoodies and summer ready trousers. The collection was sleek, sharp and truly ready to wear. You could see the tracksuits, tie-dye sweaters, and knit ski beanies on the shop floor of Bergdorfs today. The showing felt really of the time. “Palm Angles Puts the World in the Your Hands”, a sweatshirt reads reminiscent of that Beto O'Rourke Vanity Fair cover published earlier this Spring. What we can’t wait to see in stores however are the black and orange angular shades that made their debut on the runway.
