The Most Drastic Celebrity Hair Transformations of 2024

Mariska Hargitay stands out among celebrities embracing long hair this summer. At Variety’s Power of Women event in New York City on May 2, the 60-year-old Law & Order: SVU actress arrived in a beautiful black dress, but something else caught the eye of onlookers. Her signature brown, shorter hair seemed to be M.I.A. as she stepped out in ultralong mermaid extensions with blonde highlights, framed with curtain bangs. It's safe to say that this hair transformation is one for the books in 2024, as we're used to seeing the actress with the same hairstyle due to her iconic role as Olivia Benson. 

Margot Robbie recently attended the 10th Annual Breakthrough Prize Ceremony at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles, California. We couldn't help but notice that the actress traded her long locks for a lob. She went for a blunt cut, which gives Robbie's hair a voluminous and full look.

Elsa Hosk recently took to Instagram to show off an elegant blonde pixie cut, or, as British Vogue calls it, "a soft crop." The hairstyle is described as a grown-out pixie that allows for more versatility with styling than a normal pixie. Here, we see Hosk donning the cut in a slick, brushed-back manner, with just a few strands swept to the side.

In her latest shoot for Fabletics, Khloe Kardashian shows off her gorgeous new hairdo in a color that's coined "Cowboy Copper." The color borders between a rustic red and a rich brown, making for a subdued yet striking redhead moment. The good American entrepreneur did recently wear her blonde locks this Easter, so this hair transformation could very well just be a wig. But here's to hoping Kardashian fully committed and decided to go red, as she looks radiant with the color.

Julia Fox is no stranger to experimenting with new and daring looks, and this is just another testament to that. Debuting this Marilyn Monroe-inspired look at the Knicks game on Saturday, March 30, Fox's new 'do is in collaboration with Velveeta's newest semi-permanent hair dye, "Velveeta Gold." 

If anyone can rock this "cheesy" look, it's Fox.
