Inside CJ Hendry's Vibrant New York Exhibition
Monochromatic styling is indeed spring's latest trend.
Known for her black and white pen drawings, artist CJ Hendry stands by her monochromatic aesthetic for her fifth solo exhibition, only this time in bold colors. Set in a 22,000 sq. ft. space in Greenpoint, New York, Hendry designed a seven-room home around her pen-drawn Pantone cards.
"By drawing crumpled colored cards I have given color a physicality and form," she explained.
MONOCHROME is inspired by Hendry's art collectors who she's become close to throughout her career. βArt is the first thing they add to a space and they design their entire home around their collection. I have taken this concept to an extreme level. Each room has been designed to emulate the art on the wall," the young artist said.
