Megan Thee Stallion's Tequila Brand Is Finally Here
The Hot Girl's Chicas Divertidas Tequila label debuted with two different bottles, starting at $70.
Megan Thee Stallion revealed she was working on her very own tequila line last May. She teased the ombré-hued bottle while on tour in Chicago and kept everything else about it classified. Less than a year later, the brand finally dropped on February 15, coinciding with the Grammy-winning artist's birthday.
The Hot Girl introduced her label, Chicas Divertidas Tequila, which debuted with two offerings: a blanco (with citrus notes and a smooth finish) and reposado (distinguished by a caramelized flavor and American oak notes) tequila. Each comes in a curvy and vibrantly colored swivel bottle, complete with a logo-shaped stopper. Chicas Divertidas comes in 750 milliliter-size bottles at 40% ABV. Blanco retails for $70, while Reposado starts at $80. Each is available to shop at the tequila brand's website, on Reserve Bar, and at select US retailers.
"As someone who values good vibes and great memories, I knew I wanted to create a tequila that was designed to be shared and savored with my Hotties," the 30-year-old "Mamushi" rapper said in a press release. "Smooth, sultry, and premium. This process has been years in the making, and I'm so proud to take this next step in my journey as an entrepreneur and launch this brand."
Crafted from Blue Weber agave harvested in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, the tequila is produced at Casa Centinela, a historic distillery founded in 1904. Chicas Divertidas is currently looking for brand bartenders.
"I know the Hotties are ready. It’s time to give them a drink made by me! I’m excited to share this labor of love with you all and hope you are inspired to enter your 'chicas era,'" Megan, a former L'OFFICIEL cover star, continued in the press release.
