Karlie Kloss and More Join Veuve Clicquot to Celebrate Artist Yayoi Kusama
Celebs gathered at the New York Botanical Garden for the relaunch of the Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame x Yayoi Kusama.
After a successful partnership with artist Yayoi Kusama last fall, Veuve Clicquot relaunched the collaboration's collectible La Grande Dame 2012 champagne by teaming up with the New York Botanical Garden's opening of the KUSAMA: Cosmic Nature exhibit. The bottle comes with a limited-edition gift box designed by Kusama with her signature polka dots. Throughout the summer, art and botany enthusiasts visiting the exhibit will be able to try the drink with expertly paired dishes at The Hudson Garden Grill.
La Grande Dame pays homage to Madame Clicquot herself. The entrepreneur has often been dubbed the "Grande Dame of Champagne" in light of her many achievements in expanding the brand and becoming one of the first women to run an international business after taking the helm in the early 1800s. The collaboration between Veuve Clicquot and Kusama is a testament to two women who were pioneers in their male-dominated fields.
To celebrate the beverage's relaunch, a star-studded guest list was assembled for the New York Botanical Garden's annual Spring Gala including Karlie Kloss, Jodie Turner-Smith, Alek Wek, Nicky Hilton Rothschild, Prabal Gurung, Brooke Shields, and more.
The limited-edition Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame 2012 x Yayoi Kusama is available now.
