The Spring Equinox not only brings the start of longer days, fresh flowers, and warmer weather, but it is also a major astrological event, marking the start of the new zodiac calendar. To celebrate the astrological new year and equinox, Rosewood Baha Mar launches an exclusive supper series, A Starry Night A-Fare, where guests are invited to dine al fresco on a tasting menu inspired by the zodiac signs.

The luxury resort situated on Nassau’s Cable Beach offers a true Bahamian escape with amenities including multi-level pools, beachfront lounging, a number of on-site restaurants, and access to a water park, casino, art gallery, golf course, wildlife sanctuary, and much more. It’s a destination that’s just as good for enriching the senses as it is for being a beach bum, so after a day spent in the sun, indulge in a special dinner to connect with your zodiac sign to feed your spiritual and gastronomic hunger.

A Starry Night A-Fare’s seasonal menu was created by the resort’s Executive Chef Siddarth Krishna in partnership with expert astrologer Shelly von Strunckel. With decades of experience writing horoscopes and astrology columns for global publications, von Strunckel assisted in guiding Chef Krishna through the flavors and ingredients that would best resonate with and represent the zodiac signs and their respective elements — earth, fire, water, and air. The result is a four-course wine-paired tasting menu preluded by canapés and cocktails set against the Bahamian sunset. By the time the dessert course is served, the constellations shine high above in the night sky.

Using local ingredients, each dish represents one of the twelve astrological signs through its distinct flavor profile. The evening’s menu, illustrated by Gucci collaborator Gergei Erdei, includes insights from von Strunckel on the aforementioned flavors and their association to the signs. The zodiac theme is further underscored by a stunning bespoke tablescape courtesy of Maison Margaux.

A Starry Night A-Fare, priced at $325 per person, will kick off on March 23, 2022 with additional dates on March 24 and 25. Local and in-house guests are invited to book the special experience. For those interested in attending in the future, the astrology-themed dinner series will be held four times a year, celebrating the start of each new season.

Beyond the limited-edition dinner series, dining at Rosewood Baha Mar is shaped by gourmet experiences. From Chef Daniel Boulud’s new Café Boulud, bringing French fine dining to the laidback Bahama atmosphere, to the Latin American Costa, where the resort’s lush grounds and spirited koi pond surround the restaurant’s cabanas; each meal is accompanied by unique flavors and impeccable service. And for those with an insatiable appetite, there’s always 24-hour room service.
