The Pierre: Perfect for a New York City Staycation

This summer, skip the trek out to the Hamptons this summer and opt for a New York City staycation instead.

New York in the springtime is picturesque but when summer comes around it seems everyone is quick to escape the hot and humid city life. The Hamptons, Berkshires, the Cape or Maine can all be great alternatives. But is the trek worth it for a weekend away when you have to be back in the office on Monday? Enter, a New York City staycation. And what better escape than the plush, Central Park adjacent landmark: The Pierre Hotel.

The Taj owned hotel is a landmark on Fifth Avenue first opening its doors in 1930. And while boutique hotels are popping up left and right downtown, there is something special about staying in this New York City landmark once frequented heavily by Karl Lagerfeld and Audrey Hepburn. The Pierre’s amenities and view are fit for a king. A place so luxe, Valentino often hosted his Haute Couture shows there. You’ll never want to leave your room with the hotel’s gourmet 24-hour room service, and Etro toiletries. Dine in the romantic Rotunda surrounded by its breathtaking Edward Melcarth wall murals and recently redesigned byDaniel Romualdez. Care for a quick shopping trip on the company card? Tom Ford, Hermés and Jimmy Choo are conveniently around the corner.  It’s no wonder Elizabeth Taylor and Cary Grant have called the famed hotel home for a reason.

You will leave the Suite Reyad located on the hotel’s fourth floor with a beautiful blowout and a unique glow up. Reyad Fritas, the French colorist created a Parisian style apartment salon inside the hotel where they specialize in their immaculate highlights and deep conditioning treatments. Which is no surprise considering the stylist caters to the likes of Riley Montana and Cindy Bruna.

Come Monday you will be fab, refreshed and will only have to take a quick Uber back to your apartment instead of being smothered on the crowded Jitney.
