Cannes has been injected with a dose of nostalgia as the iconic Cannois palace revives the French Riviera of the roaring twenties with their weekly rendez-vous.

A true homage to the extravagant and care-free&nbsp;Mediterranean lifestyle that characterized the beginning of the last century, the already-cult Ginguette evenings&nbsp;take place every Friday in The&nbsp;Martinez&#39;s gardens&mdash;the nerve center of the hotel that was <a href="http://www.lofficiel.com/voyage/qui-sur-la-croisette-a-recu-un-makeover" target="_blank">recently re-designed</a> by the architect Pierre-Yves Rochon.

These intimate evenings are worthy of the great&nbsp;Gatsby&nbsp;himself&nbsp;with the&nbsp;canotier hats and&nbsp;neck-scarves, rows of&nbsp;collectors&#39; cars gleaming in the twinkling lights,&nbsp;a&nbsp;seemingly endless cocktail selection honoring French delicacies both old and new (including an absinthe fountain),&nbsp;succulent dishes prepared in front of the guests and a lively jazz&nbsp;atmosphere&nbsp;courtesy&nbsp;of&nbsp;the talented orchestra Hot Sugar Band.&nbsp;
