Madonna Buys The Weeknd's Hidden Hills Mansion for $19 Million
The "Blinding Lights" singer listed the estate in June of last year.
After 10 months on the market, The Weeknd has finally sold his Hidden Hills home to fellow singer Madonna for a pricy $19.3 million. His original asking price was under $25 million when he listed the property last June, however, he picked up the mansion for an easy $18.2 million back in 2017. What's a few million between friends?
To enter the property from the main roads, visitors must first pass a private gate, which is sure to keep the "Vogue" singer's privacy at a maximum. The 13,500-square-feet home sits on three acres of land, boasting nine bedrooms, nine and a half bathrooms, a large backyard with a pool, and a bright orange basketball court.
The house was built just before the "Save Your Tears" artist purchased it, making him the residence's first occupant. While Madonna will likely change the interior to match her own personal style, there's certainly a lot to work with. The interior exudes an upscale Scandinavian style, with white walls covering almost every room and gently stained wood marking the staircase and railings. Many of the gathering rooms are surrounded by large windows which allow for a great intake of natural lighting.
With several rooms, there's certainly enough room for hosting. Like most California homes, glass-pocket doors allow for an open-air atmosphere to seamlessly blend the indoor and outdoor living spaces with almost non-existent walls. The roomy kitchen is also a great spot for a more intimate gathering with loved ones, featuring two granite-covered islands over the chic hardwood flooring.
The master suite looks out over the backyard and comes with enough room for a seating area around a glass fireplace. The en-suite bathroom features a stand-alone bathtub and ample window views of the rest of the estate.
Other exciting amenities from the property include a cozy theater room for movie nights and a climate-controlled wine cellar backlit by chic, LED blue lights. While the eight-stall barn could be used to house a number of barnyard animals, The Weeknd chose to fill the space with lounge decor and a ping pong table, However, one of the most impressive features of the house is the five-car garage, lined in LED lights that change colors. The construction was designed to cater to the singer's collection of luxury cars. While Madonna isn't known to be a car enthusiast, looking at the space, there's no reason she can't convert it into her den of impromptu raves.
