Bergdorf Goodman's Holiday Campaign Looks Like a Wes Anderson Movie
The luxury department store debuts a Wes Anderson-inspired short film to kick off its holiday campaign, "The Present Moment."
Bergdorf Goodman rings in the holiday season with a short film celebrating its festive campaign "The Present Moment." Developed and directed by BG's VP of Creative and Brand Marketing Elle Strauss, the film is inspired by Wes Anderson's acclaimed movie in honor of his 10th feature film The French Dispatch, starring L'OFFICIEL's own cover-woman Léa Seydoux.
Narrated by Waris Ahluwalia, the campaign depicts a mysterious Bergdorf Goodman courier traveling through the store to find the perfect holiday gift for customers around the world. Along the way, Bergdorf Goodman designers make special appearances while riding in a vivid red elevator, including Chirstopher John Rogers, Emily Bode, Sergio Hudson, Michael Kors, and fashion director Linda Fargo.
While Anderson himself was not involved in the making of the short film, fans will be able to spot various iconic items from his films, including the King from Isle of Dogs, a map from Moonrise Kingdom, Mendl's cake box from The Grand Budapest Hotel, and the red track suits from The Royal Tenenbaums.
The mystery courier is revealed to be none other than legendary designer Marc Jacobs, whose Fall/Winter 2021 runway collection recently launched exclusively with Bergdorf Goodman.
