Daughter of Francis Ford Coppola, Sofia is known for her films The Virgin Suicides, Lost in Translation, and Marie Antoinette. Filmmaker Sofia Coppola and musician Thomas Mars met in 1999 when Mars asked Coppola for a song feature in her film The Virgin Suicides. In 1999, Coppola married film director Spike Jonze. After their divorce in 2003, Sofia Coppola dated Quentin Tarantino until 2005. Thomas Mars and Coppola began dating and welcomed their daughter Romy in 2006. Romy's younger sister, Cosima, was born in 2010, and the couple got married shortly after in 2011.
