Simone Biles is the GOAT—and She Has the Leotard to Prove It
The star gymnast took home her record seventh U.S. title in an apropos outfit.
At just 24 years old, Simone Biles' stellar athletic career speaks for itself—the gymnast has four gold Olympic medals, is the world's most decorated female gymnast, and became the only woman with seven U.S. all-around titles this weekend at the U.S. Gymnastics Championships. It's no wonder that Biles is referred to as the GOAT (greatest of all time), and her competition attire reflects that.
At June 4's 2021 U.S. Gymnastics Championships in Texas, Biles wore a white and purple GK Elite leotard for her floor routine adorned a rhinestone billy goat on her right shoulder.
Later that weekend, she wore a black leo from the same brand with a snake print detail on the chest and another bedazzled goat on her hip. Biles first debuted the embellished look in 2019 for the national championships podium training, and again for the 2021 GK U.S. Classic competition.
“It’s really emotional, especially going into my second time doing an Olympic run, it’s really crazy and I appreciate everyone that’s come out to watch and support us, especially after the year we’ve had,” Biles said in an interview with NBC. As the champion gymnast continues to set records and blow expectations out of the water, her wardrobe choices serve as a reminder of her legendary achievements.
