A year since they were first linked and their romance began, Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan are still going strong. The couple has remained pretty tight-lipped on their relationship, but have made frequent public appearances together and shared sweetly shared support for one another. Carpenter, a Grammy-nominated singer and actress, skyrocketed to mainstream success over the past year, opening for Taylor Swift on the Eras Tour and releasing her hit album Short N’ Sweet. Keoghan, an Academy Award-nominated Irish actor, is acclaimed for his performances in Dunkirk (2017), The Banshees of Inisherin (2022), and Saltburn (2023).

Before making it official with Carpenter, Keoghan split from his partner Alyson Kiernans, with whom he shares a son named Brando, born in August 2022. The couple broke up in July 2023 after two-and-a-half years together. As for Carpenter, she was previously linked to Shawn Mendes early last year. Many fans speculated that "Coincidence," the fifth track on her latest album, drew inspiration from her brief fling with Mendes, with lyrics hinting at a love triangle involving Camila Cabello.

From music video cameos to red carpet appearances and not-so-subtle catchy song lyrics, keep scrolling to explore the duo's relationship timeline over the past year.

Carpenter changed the outro of her hit song “Nonsense” at the second weekend of Coachella, singing, “Man his knees so weak, he had to spread mine. He’s drinkin’ my bath water like it’s red wine.” The lyric change was believed to be a reference to Keoghan’s explicit scene in Saltburn.

Carpenter spoke on her decision to cast him in the music video in a CBS Sunday Morning interview in October. “I was like, ‘Who’s the greatest actor that I can find for this music video?’ And he was next to me in a chair, and he was so excited about it.
