After informing the royal family about his wife Meghan Markle's recent miscarriage, Prince Harry reportedly received full support from his father, Prince Charles, and his brother, Prince William

Sources close to royalty reported to The Sun that the prince sought out his family shortly after the incident. According to the source, Charles and William offered their deepest sympathies and support to Harry in his time of grief.

Last week, the Duchess of Sussex wrote a deeply personal and courageous account of her miscarriage. In a powerful article for the New York Times, entitled "The Losses We Share," the American actress revealed that she had lost her second child in July.

Despite the distance following Harry's announcement in early 2020 that he and the duchess would be stepping down from their roles as senior royal family members, all were shaken by the news and provided assistance to the prince and his wife. A source within the palace told The Mirror, "There is, of course, much understandable sadness in the family."

Two years after their wedding in 2017, the Sussexes welcomed their first child, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, in May 2019. The family has since relocated to Meghan's hometown of Los Angeles, where they recently spent their first Thanksgiving following the loss of their second child.

In her op-ed, Meghan shared that, on what started out as a normal morning, she felt a "sharp cramp." She explained, "I dropped to the floor with [Archie] in my arms, humming a lullaby to keep us both calm, the cheerful tune a stark contrast to my sense that something was not right. I knew, as I clutched my firstborn child, that I was losing my second."
