The Best Creative Agencies in the Entertainment Business

Behind every powerful celeb is an even more powerful agent. From WME to ICM, here’s the lowdown on Los Angeles’ most famous and successful abbreviations - err, agencies.

William Morris Endeavor (WME)

WME is the birth child of two agencies: the William Morris Agency and Endeavor (duh). Originally, these two agencies were working separately in Los Angeles—and, by working, we mean fiercely competing against each other to dominate the American market. Thus, it only made sense that a mergence would ensure world power for both. Not only is WME the most famous acting agency in LA but in the world. This is a true colossus that counts among its ranks The Rolling Stones, John Travolta, and Clint Eastwood.

Creative Artists Agency (CAA)

Also known as ‘CAA,’ the Creative Artists Agency is one of the most prestigious and innovative talent agencies of the lot. Theirs is a portfolio filled with multi-disciplinary talents who have loyally trusted them to manage almost the entirety of their careers. Today, CAA boasts several divisions from cinema and television to acting and sports. Yes, sports. This is an agency with a refreshingly diverse view of the entertainment industry.

International Creative Management (ICM)

International Creative Management is well known for representing comedians and actors of both the TV and the movie screen. Ironically, the Los Angeline agency has earned its impressive reputation thanks to its excellent portfolio of American and European-based premium talent. Founded in 1975 after the merging of Creative Management Associates and International Famous Agency (great name, huh?), ICM is in strong competition with both CAA and WME.
