The superyacht is a status symbol that only the wealthiest and most successful among us can afford, and many of the most opulent yachts feature amenities like helicopter pads, private spas, and cozy cinema rooms that have become the subject of envy for fans and followers of yacht-owning celebrities across the world. For many celebrities and industrious business executives, purchasing one of the most expensive yachts in the world is a no-brainer, after all, how else can one reach the Amalfi coast or the French Riviera in both style and comfort?

David Geffen - $590 Million

Coming in first is media mogul David Geffen with his $590 million superyacht, The Rising Sun. It was originally owned by Larry Ellison, Oracle’s co-founder, but was acquired by Geffen in 2010. Built by Lürssen and designed by Jon Bannenberg, this 138-meter yacht features luxurious amenities like a movie theater, spa, wine cellar, and helicopter landing pad.

Jeff Bezos - $500 Million

Koru, owned by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, measures at 417 feet and is considered the largest sailing yacht currently on the water. Also known as the Y721, it features a pool on its deck, along with accommodations for up to 18 guests and 40 crew members. Its name represents strength, new life, and peace, and is inspired by Māori art.

Diane von Furstenberg - $200 Million

Owned by Belgian fashion designer, Diane von Furstenberg, and her husband, Barry Diller, their superyacht, Eos, was purchased in 2009 for $200 million. This Lurssen superyacht is a head-turner whose exterior was designed by Langan Design Associates, Inc., and whose interiors were furnished by Francois Catroux. It features a glass staircase, a 14-foot world map, a jacuzzi, and a figurehead of owner Diane von Furstenberg herself.

J.K. Rowling - $150 Million

Author J.K. Rowling's, Samsara, measures at 290 feet and can accommodate 14 guests in seven cabins. The massive superyacht was built in 2015, making it among the newest of the most expensive yachts owned by celebrities. On the Samsara, a 5-meter circular swimming pool, a cutting-edge cinema, and a tranquil beach club can be found.

Steve and Laurene Jobs - $120 Million

Laurene Powell, the widow of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, owns the $120 million yacht, Venus. It was designed by Phillippe Stark and features large floor-to-ceiling windows across its 250-foot length. It can reach speeds up to 18 knots. Venus can accommodate up to 12 guests in six cabins and 22 crew members in an additional 14 cabins. A little-known fact about Venus is that it was designed to look like an Apple product, as evidenced by its sleek exterior, per insider reports by Boat International

Sean "P. Diddy" Combs - $65 Million

The Maraya is owned by musician Sean "P. Diddy" Combs, who purchased the yacht for approximately $65 million in 2012. The vessel is 178 feet long, and at the rate of $300 thousand per week, is available for private charters. The yacht can accommodate up to 12 guests in six cabins. It includes luxurious amenities such as a sundeck jacuzzi, gym, wellness area, and a personal chef.

Giorgio Armani - $64 Million

Iconic Italian fashion designer Giorgio Armani personally designed the 213-foot superyacht, Main, with the Italian shipyard Codecasa. It was inspired by military ships and features a painted dark green exterior instead of a more traditional white, which camouflages it with the ocean. Main’s interior includes light birchwood furniture, dark green walls, and seven cabins that can accommodate up to 12 guests and a crew of 14. The yacht's amenities include a cinema, gym, whirlpool, indoor gym, marble bathrooms, and a large sundeck.

Jackie Chan - $46 Million

Martial artist and actor Jackie Chan upgraded to a 152-foot superyacht built by the Chinese shipyard Jinlong in 2019. The luxury vessel has three decks, a helipad, and four bedrooms that can accommodate eight guests. The top sundeck features a wet bar and serves as a casual dining area while the white interior contains luxurious dark wood accents. Also found on board is a movie theater, hot tub, gym, sauna, and of course, a karaoke room.

Sir Elton John - $29.1 Million

Singer Sir Elton John, and his husband, David Furnish, once owned a 164-foot superyacht called Wabi Sabi, which translates to "embracing the beauty of an imperfect world." It features a gym, massage room, entertainment center, library, private decks, and a formal dining room that can accommodate up to 12 guests. The sundeck features a jacuzzi, barbecue, and wet bar. After years of fabulous parties and cozy seaside cocktail parties, the couple sold the vessel in 2017.

Tiger Woods - $29 Million

Professional golfer, Tiger Woods' 155-foot superyacht named Privacy is estimated to be approximately $29 million. This five-bedroom yacht can accommodate up to 10 guests and four cabins for the boat’s crew. Each cabin on the superyacht provides a luxury experience for its guests. Its features include an observation deck, an eight-person jacuzzi, a fully equipped gym, and a decompression chamber for scuba divers along with three jet skis.
