Supermodel Karen Elson's Electric Lady Studios Wedding Was A Star-Studded Affair

From runway shows put on by leading designers in the industry to buzzy parties to wildly attended pop-up events, the bi-annual event that is New York Fashion Week has long been a hub of fashion and celebrity, but this season, one of the most well-attended celebrations was one not on the official calendar. The wedding of supermodel Karen Elson—known for her eye-catching appearances on runways, alluring magazine covers, and captivating presence on the stage as an actor and musician—to Lee Foster, an art collector and managing partner of Electric Lady Studios, was held at the studio itself. Thanks to the high-profile status of both the bride and groom, the unsurprisingly fabulous fashion moments, and the stacked guest list, the celebration was one for the ages.

For the affair, Elson wore a dreamy Valentino gown, custom-made by the label's new creative director, Alessandro Michele. Accentuated by scalloped ruffling, cape detailing, subtle blue beading embroidered across the dress, and a romantic blue bouquet of flowers arranged around the waist, the bride beamed with joy. She opted for a natural rosy glam look, and wore her iconic red locks in loose curls. 

Ahead of the ceremony and ensuing celebration, Elson was joined by her daughter, Scarlett White, who also wore a Valentino gown. White's simple, yet timelessly elegant silk frock featured dusty blue ribbon detailing, delicate lace trim, and a romantic bow tied at the neckline. 

Elson and Foster have been romantically linked since the fall of 2022, and a year later, in Fall 2023, he proposed to her during a surprise getaway to upstate New York. While the wedding ceremony held on the roof of Electric Lady Studios was certainly a buzzy affair, it was actually the second of two ceremonies planned by the couple. Elson and Foster also walked down the aisle in August 2024 in a smaller get-together in Nashville, Tennessee. 

At Electric Lady Studios, the couple was joined by friends, family, and loved ones, where at 7 p.m. sharp, Elson walked down the aisle to Daniel Johnston's "True Love Will Find You In The End," before she was joined by Foster, who sported a sharp Celine suit. Following the ceremony, guests stayed to celebrate the happy bride and groom. Among those present at the affair were Lana Del Rey, with her rumored new boyfriend in tow, Rosalía, Helena Christensen, Karlie Kloss, and Taylor Swift accompanied by Travis Kelce, who made a buzzy entrance—and exit.
