Kanye West Unfollows Kardashian Family on Twitter
The rapper was recently spotted on vacation with model Irina Shayk.
Kanye West and Kim Kardashian's split continues to unfold in front of the public eye. Twitter sleuths recently noticed that the "Closed on Sunday" rapper has unfollowed his soon-to-be ex-wife and her family despite their recent birthday tributes to him on social media. However, West still follows the KKW Beauty founder—and only her— on Instagram.
The news of this digital distancing follows recent reports of West's budding relationship with Irina Shayk as well as the series finale of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Earlier this week, the couple was spotted vacationing together in the South of France. Insiders spoke to several outlets about the nature of their relationship, with one telling Page Six, "Kanye and Irina are seeing each other. It’s casual at the moment, but they are into each other. It’s been going on for a few weeks now.”
Another source spoke to the outlet about Kardashian's reaction, saying, “Kim is fine with it." They added, “She just wants him to be happy and healthy.”
In last night's finale episode of KUWTK, fans saw the Skims entrepreneur come to terms with her marital issues after her family's trip to Lake Tahoe for the Christmas holidays—just over a week before initial reports of the couple's split in early January 2021.
Sitting down with her mother Kris Jenner, Kim opened up about what she wants out of a relationship. "After turning 40 this year, I realized, 'No, I don't want a husband that lives in a completely different state.' To me, I thought, 'Oh, my god. That's when we're getting along the best, but then that is sad to me, and that's not what I want," explained the mother of four. She also referenced her sister Khloé's relationship with Tristan Thompson, Kim saying, "I want someone that we have the same shows in common. I want someone that wants to work out with me."
The couple officially filed for divorce in February of the year after nearly seven years of marriage. They share four children: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.
