Jessica Chastain and Oscar Isaac's Red Carpet Embrace Goes Viral

A healthy dose of chemistry is vital for actors playing love interests, but Jessica Chastain and Oscar Isaac's recent public display of affection has caused a small spontaneous combustion on the internet.
Following the premiere of their HBO miniseries Scenes from a Marriage at the 2021 Venice Film Festival, a slow-motion video of the pair on the red carpet has gone viral over their sensual manner with one another. The clip shows Isaac rub his hand over Chastain's arm and kissing it before she pulls him into an embrace.
In response, the Internet has turned feverish over Isaac's smoldering gaze at his co-star. "God bless the person who decided to slo-mo this video of Oscar Isaac and Jessica Chastain in Venice," wrote one Twitter user. "The tender arm stroke, eyebrow raise… they are giving us the red carpet chemistry that we didn’t even [realize] we needed."
However, others noted that co-stars are known for playing up their chemistry to boost interest in their project, specifically comparing the two to Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga while they were promoting A Star is Born. One fan joked, "lady gaga and bradley cooer walked so oscar issac and jessica chastain can run."
While the pair do seem quite comfortable with each other, they are both married—Chastain to her husband Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo and Isaac to his wife Elvira Lind.
In response to the digital uproar, Chastain gave a cheeky nod to the incident by tweeting a photo of Gomez kissing Morticia's arm in The Addams Family. She captioned the post, "Sept 12th," noting the release date for her and Isaac's series.
