Australia isn't typically thought of as a star-studded destination, but over the past year, a number of stars have spent time in the land Down Under. The isolated continent has managed to keep cases of COVID-19 low, creating the perfect opportunity for the country's film industry to take off.

From Marvel stars to musicians, here are a few celebs who have made Australia their temporary home.

Natalie Portman, who is in Sydney filming Thor: Love and Thunder with costars Chris Hemsworth and Christian Bale, still makes time to see the sights with her family.

Melissa McCarthy and American-born Australian actress Nicole Kidman are together in Byron Bay working on the Hulu miniseries Nine Perfect Strangers

Zac Efron has famously been feeling at home in Australia, and may even be considering relocating to the sunny continent.

Julia Roberts arrived in the country more recently, touching down last month to film the political thriller Gaslit alongside Sean Penn.

Even Rita Ora is spending time Down Under, performing in the country's 43rd Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras in front of thousands.
