Cara Delevingne took to her Instagram story to thank the Los Angeles Fire Department for responding to a housefire that occurred on Friday morning around 4 a.m. The model took to Instagram to thank the firefighter who saved her two cats from her home.

“My heart is broken today… I cannot believe it. Life can change in the blink of an eye,” the model initially wrote in her story alongside her two cats, making fans believe she lost her beloved pets. “So cherish what you have.”

The celebrity also expressed her appreciation via her Instagram Story to those who promptly responded to the emergency. "Thank you from the bottom of my heart to the firefighters and people that have showed up to help," the model wrote in all caps.

Additionally, Delevingne posted a video taken close to the property, depicting numerous fire trucks and emergency response vehicles stationed along the streets, their red lights flashing. According to the LAFD, the fire engulfed the rear room of the house and escalated into a significant attic fire from there onwards.

Thankfully Delevigne had an update on the status of the adorable pair of fluffy felines. "They are alive!! Thank you to the firefighters," she wrote with a heart emoji penned at the end.

While the model and actress was spotted in London on Thursday, fulfilling her role as Sally Bowles in Cabaret at the Playhouse Theatre, the occupants of her home during her absence remain unspecified. Nonetheless, the fire department confirmed that one individual suffered minor smoke inhalation.

In 2021, Architectural Digest featured the unique $7 million two-story home she affectionately dubbed her "adult playhouse."

In a video tour, she elaborated, "The essence of this house doesn't conform to a single motif like Alice in Wonderland. Instead, each room embodies a distinct theme. It feels reminiscent of a Mad Hatter's tea party, yet there are elements of jungle aesthetics, nods to the Beverly Hills hotel, and touches of traditional English style, all while maintaining a quintessential Los Angeles vibe."
