Bella Hadid Just Revealed She's Been Sober for 6 Months
Bella Hadid is getting candid about giving up alcohol.
The last few months have been decisive in Bella Hadid's personal life. The model previously opened up to her fans about suffering from depression and anxiety for several years. She also explained that she cut her alcohol consumption for Dry January, and encouraged others to follow suit and stay completely sober for the entire month.
But now, the 25-year-old model has revealed that she's been sober for much longer than that because of problems with alcoholism. In a recent interview with InStyle, Hadid admitted that she gave up drinking six months ago as she realized she wouldn't be able to control herself anymore.
"I've done my share of drinking. I loved alcohol and it got to the point where I even started canceling nights that I felt I wouldn't be able to control myself," she said. As a consequence of the high consumption, the model explained that she always had to deal with a terrible unease when remembering the previous nights of drinking.
"I don't feel the need because I know how this is going to affect me at 3 a.m. when I wake up with horrible anxiety thinking about that thing I said five years ago when I graduated from high school. There's just this unending effect of...pain and stress from those drinks," she added.
