A Timeline of Sienna Miller's Life in the Tabloids

The early 2000s brought Miller a few film and TV roles and some important modeling gigs, but it also marked the start of paparazzi trying to catch a glimpse of her dating life. Back in 2001, Miller had a brief romance with actor Orlando Bloom. In 2005, speculation that the pair were back together for a second time grew when photographed together at the Cartier International Polo match.

A year later after meeting on the set of Alfie, Miller and actor Jude Law, got engaged in 2004.

The pair rapidly became one of Hollywood’s hottest couples, however, their engagement got cut short as word spread that Law cheated with their nanny rapidly spread (Law had three children from his previous marriage to Sadie Frost).

The year also marked the debut of Layer Cake, a crime movie in which Miller stars opposite Daniel Craig. 

It later came out that Miller had an affair with Craig in 2005, following the filming of Layer Cake. In 2014, however, Miller shot down the rumors of a love triangle between her, Law, and Craig, as a voicemail surfaced in which she tells the James Bond star, "I love you."

It was also rumored that Miller briefly dated Leo DiCaprio in 2005, causing his split from his long-term girlfriend, Gisele Bundchen.

In 2006, the actress played Edie Sedgwick in Factory Girl. She starred alongside Hayden Christensen as folk singer Billy Quinn. Tabloids claimed the pair were dating, but it was never confirmed.

It was also reported that Miller went on several dates with actor Jamie Dornan, now known for the 50 Shades of Gray franchise.

A year later, Miller took home then-boyfriend Jamie Burke to meet her parents after vacationing together in Tulum, Mexico. The pair dated for only eight months and later called it quits. 

Her career also found success in movies including Stardust and Interview.

Unfortunately, her acting roles continued to be overshadowed by the tabloids' interest in her love life. In 2008, one of the biggest scandals of the year happened when Miller and then-married Balthazar Getty were pictured on the back of a yacht together. Getty later admitted that his affair with Miller left him in a total wreck as it posed a challenge for his marriage. 

In 2009, Law and Miller began dating again. The buzzworthy couple even attended the 2010 Met Gala together, but ultimately ended their relationship in February 2011.

It was also during this period between 2009 and 2011 that Miller took a pause from movie roles, instead starring in After Miss Julie on Broadway.

Getting back into film, Miller had a breakthrough with the 2012 movie The Girl, in which she plays actress Tippi Hedren (known for her work with Alfred Hitchcock). The role earned her BAFTA and Golden Globes nominations.

In her personal life, her relationship with actor Tom Sturridge was full of highs and lows during this time. One engagement and four years later, the couple split in 2015, but continued to co-parent their baby daughter, Marlowe.

More critical acclaim came in 2018 and 2019 as she appeared in The Catcher Was a Spy, American Woman, and 21 Bridges, an action film starring Chadwick Boseman.

In December 2018, Miller was linked to Lucas Zwirner, editorial director of publishing house David Zwirner Books. The pair were often spotted around New York City together, and got engaged in February 2020. However, their split was announced soon after in August.

Just before the coronavirus took hold of the world, Miller's latest feat, a drama titled Wander Darkly released, earning the actress some of her best reviews yet.

Still occasionally spotted by paparazzi in New York and London, Miller is now focusing on family amidst the pandemic and filming new projects to come this year.

In March 2022, Sienna Miller attended the Vanity Fair Oscars after party with her new beau, model Oli Green who at the time was best known for starring in campaigns for Burberry. In 2022, the two were seen together quite often but the post-award show event marked the couple's first red carpet together.

In April Miller revealed to Elle UK that she chose to freeze her following her 40th birthday saying "Biology is incredibly cruel on women in that decade — that’s the headline, or it certainly was for me. Then I got to 40 and I froze some eggs. Having been really focused on the need to have another baby, I’m just like, if it happens, it happens. That kind of existential threat has dissipated.”

In 2023, it was revealed that Miller and Green were expecting their first child together. In the fall of 2023, Miller wore a stunning Schiaparelli set to the Vogue World Fashion Show in London that showed off her growing baby bump. The actress glowed while proudly displaying her pregnant figure. In December, Miller and Green welcomed a baby girl, making Miller a mother of two as she had her first daughter, Marlowe, with her ex, Tom Sturridge.

Currently, Miller enjoys a relatively stable and happy life. She is still together with Oli Green and is regularly seen on red carpets with her family. Recently, she starred in the western drama Horizon: An American Saga along with Kevin Costner, which recently premiered at the Cannes Film Festival.
