What We Know So Far About Solange's Separation
Today, in a heartfelt Instagram post, Solange revealed to the public that she and her husband, music video director Alan Ferguson, had parted ways earlier this year.
The pair began dating in 2008 and have been married since November of 2014. Their wedding happened at the Marigny Opera House in New Orleans, Louisiana, the city where they have lived since 2013. Solange has a 15-year-old son, Daniel Julez J. Smith Jr., from her first marriage to Daniel Smith.
In the post, the singer also addressed the autonomic disorder that she's been dealing with since her diagnosis two years ago, saying, "my body left me with no choice but to listen and be still."
She ends the post with a message of positivity, "...im leaning into the fear of the unknown and all the glory and power i know exist within god and the universes grace. may all of your transitions no matter how big or small, be kind to you and filled with incredible love and light!"
