The Stars of ComplexCon

Comic book lovers have Comic-Con, drag lovers have (RuPaul's) DragCon, and even lovers of Instagram famous pets have, yep, you guessed it, PetCon. But what do the young streetwear savvy, hip hop loving, sneakerheads have? ComplexCon. 

The annual curated festival, hosted by Complex, of which it's named, sees pop up shops from brands like Puma, Adidas, Billionaire Boys Club, colette, Kappa, and literally hundreds more. Throughout the weekend long event (Nov 4–Nov 5), there were performances by Gucci Mane, M.I.A., DJ Khaled, Chloe and Halle, and more. The honorary host committe saw Pharrell Williams, artist Takashia Murakami (best known in fashion for his collaborations with Marc Jacobs at Louis Vuitton), Virgil Abloh, colette co-founder Sarah Andelman, J. Balvin, and Jaden Smith. 

While ComplexCon appeals to only a niche—although voracious and well-versed—subset of fashion, it was the most talked about over the weekend in Los Angeles. Even Lana Del Rey dropped in, presumably, from her home in Malibu.
