Root Studios and NYC Image Makers Launch Charitable Freedom x Equal Justice Print Sale

Root Studios teams up with local photographers in the NYC Image Makers collective to raise money for the ACLU, the Equal Justice Initiative, and more in an effort to combat social injustice.

New York City-based Root Studios teams up with more than 50 creatives from NYC Image Makers to join the fight against racism with the Freedom x Equal Justice print sale. Image Makers is an eclectic group of photographers at all stages in their careers. The sale includes over 50 pieces from members of the collective, including Jess Brohier, Emmanuel Rosario, Ira Chernova, Emma Craft, Alvin Kean Wong, Eduardo Silva, Justin Bridges, and Devin Blaskovich. 

The studio/photo production company, is also partnering with the ACLU, National Black Justice Coalition, Native American Heritage Association, and the Equal Justice Initiative. The complete profits from the sale will be given to these organizations. Prints of each piece are available for $100.

“Our mission aims to explore truth, raise consciousness, and to promote the essential work that is being done with by these organizations,” explained an Instagram post from Root Studios. “We will be donating all of our profits to organizations advancing civil rights, intersectionality, and criminal justice reform; challenging racial and social injustice; and protecting basic human rights.”
