Rihanna and the President of France Are Working on Education Access
In June, Rihanna proved the power of a tweet when she challenged French President Emmanuel Macron to commit to working with her to fund education for the impoverished.
Good on his word, Macron delivered. He met with her the next month to scope out how they would go about improving access to education in developing nations, but that wasn't the end of it. This past week, both gave speeches at the Global Partnership for Education's Financing Conference in Senegal. Rihanna gave an invigorating speech, stating that "This is a fight that we are never going to stop fighting until every boy and every girl has access to education." Macron co-hosted and also gave a speech, calling global education a "necessity."
He then posted this Twitter video featuring the both of them. Just two unlikely buddies, saving the world one step at a time.
