Proenza Schouler Wants You to Vote

Ahead of the US midterm elections on November 6, the duo has designed a t-shirt showing their support for voting and gun safety.

If the constant stress of political divide wasn't enough to convince you to head to the polls this November, maybe Proenza Schouler can help. The brand has created a t-shirt with a colorful graphic simply reading "Vote" in an effort to remind Americans the importance of their civic duty.

This is not the first time creative directors Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough have taken an activist stance, as the pair has created several limited edition t-shirts in the past supporting Everytown for Gun Safety. The new "Vote" shirt will benefit the same organization, a reminder that gun violence is a key issue at stake in the current US political climate.

Hernandez and McCollough both are passionate about women’s rights, gun safety, LGBTQ rights, climate change, and immigration, so they're hopeful the new shirt will help to work towards the progressive legislation they support. Not to mention, the tees are pretty fashionable, too: with an abstract green, yellow, and blue graphic on a simple white background, they seem bound to make a streetwear statement at the polls and beyond.

The 2018 US midterm elections are on November 6, with the entire House of Representatives, key seats in the Senate, and many important state and local positions at stake. You can check your registration status, register to vote, and find more information about deadlines, ID requirements, and polling places here.

The Proenza Schouler VOTE shirt benefiting Everytown is available now in stores and online.
