Michelle Obama Wears Sergio Hudson To Joe Biden's Inauguration
All eyes were on Michelle Obama as she attended Joe Biden's historic inauguration in a plum look by Los Angeles-based designer Sergio Hudson.
The former first lady made her way down the steps of the Capitol in a coordinating top and wide-legged pant, all cinched with a belt and topped with a chic overcoat. Obama, who has been a champion of American designers since her time as first lady, is a longtime fan of Hudson, often wearing his pieces to events and appearances.
The designer — who hails from South Carolina and has also been worn by Beyoncé, Ariana Grande, and Tracee Ellis Ross — also dressed vice president-elect Kamala Harris for the ceremony, who wore his clothing alongside pieces from Christopher John Rogers.
It seems the Bidens will follow the Obamas in championing American brands, as president-elect Joe Biden is being inaugurated in a sharp suit by American heritage brand Ralph Lauren, and his wife Jill Biden wears a custom blue wool coat and dress by New York-based label Markarian.
