Top Celebrity Endorsements for Kamala Harris in the 2024 Election

There has been no election like this one, and celebrities from Beyoncé to Harrison Ford have been increasingly entering the political sphere to endorse Vice President Kamala Harris for president as voting nears the final hour.

Celebrities over the past few years have seemed to either doggedly avoid political statements, or they have committed openly to them. The 2024 U.S. Presidential Election has inspired many more to speak up, however. Some have urged their fans and viewers to vote, not tying their messaging to any particular candidate. But outside of performing their civic duty, many celebrities also voiced their support for the Democratic presidential nominee, endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris and bringing their cultural influence to the political sphere.

The 2024 election feels unprecedented for many reasons, from it being the first major party candidate to run as a felon to the first time a Black and South Asian woman is running for president. (Shirley Chisholm was the first Black woman to run.) There's also a lot on the ticket for this year's election, including issues of reproductive rights. Voting for some celebrities feels more important than ever before, evident in Harrison Ford's endorsement video.

"I'm doing something I never thought I would do," he said in the video, urging voters to remember what hangs in the balance. "Do I agree with every one of their policies? Of course not... I'm frustrated about a lot of things in this country. I'm sure you are too. But the other guy? He spent four years turning us against each other, while embracing dictators and tyrants around the world. That's not who we are."

Beyoncé endorsed Harris in October. At a rally in Texas, the performer said, "We are at the precipice of an incredible shift, the brink of history." She continued, "I am not here as a celebrity. I'm not here as a politician. I'm here as a mother, a mother who cares deeply about the world my children and all of our children live in."

Harris raised a record-breaking $1 billion over a three-month period from the beginning of her campaign in July to the end of September. Leading up to election day, there were many memorable celebrity endorsements going into the big night.
