Three Emiratis Could Face Arrest After Posting "Kiki" Dance Challenge

Abu Dhabi Public Prosecution ordered the arrest of three social media stars yesterday for participating in the "Kiki" challenge—if you haven't seen or heard of it yet, it's smarter than the cinnamon challenge but dumber than the ice bucket challenge; in it people exit their slowly moving vehicles (also known as "ghost riding") to dance alongside them to Drake's hit song "In My Feelings."

"Participants in this challenge get out of a moving car and leave the door open and dance on a public road next to the car, which is a danger to them and others on the road," the prosecutor's office said in a statement on Monday. "This behavior is contrary to the values of the Emirates' society and constitutes a violation of public morals." They also added that the three perpetrators will be investigated "on charges of endangering their lives and the lives of others, and violating public morals using social networking sites to promote practices that are incompatible with the values and traditions of society."

Although the prosecutor's office hasn't revealed the names of the three participants, they have warned that they could be punished with a fine or imprisonment. The challenge, which is already banned in Egypt, could result in a Dh2,000 fine ($545) and they could have their cars impounded for up to 60 days.

This wouldn't be the first time Drake gets a nasty surprise.
