It's no secret that K-pop has become a global phenomenon. The genre was given the ultimate platform thanks to the 2018 Winter Olympics held in PyeongChang and most recently, boy band BTS made music history as the first K-pop group to top the U.S. Billboard Hot 200 chart.

Its influence has transcended audio airwaves, with artists increasingly from around the world, so it should come as no surprise that Canadian badass Claire Elise Bouche—better known as Grimes—would lend her impeccable and experimental audio expertise to K-pop darlings yyxy (a subunit of the 12-person K-pop girl group Loona) on the track "love4eva," which appears on their new EP Beauty & the Beat, out today.

The song is a joyous and terribly catchy bubblegum pop extravaganza in Korean with dashes of English: "Come on, come on baby, tell me your story." It's accompanying music video does just that. Loona members cause mischief at their boarding school/mansion under the watch of a headmistress. Their Cher Horowitz-esque plaid ensembles and collard shirts complete the school girl fantasy. And while Grimes herself didn't make an appearance in the clip, the girls had no trouble at all holding their own.
