Travis Scott Announces Upcoming 'Astroworld' Music Festival Dates

The rapper's popular music festival returns this November.

After a year off due to the coronavirus pandemic, Travis Scott's Astroworld Music Festival will return to the stage this November. The rapper announced the exciting news on Instagram in celebration of his birthday, adding that, unlike previous years, the 2021 event would cover two days.

"FOR THIS BDAY ALL I WANT IS RAGE MAN," Scott wrote in the caption. "WE BEEN LOCKED IN A HOUSE FOR SOMETIME NOW AND I BEEN BANGING MY HEAD AROUND TRYNNA TO GET BACK TO IT I BEEN WANTING TO SHARE AND EXPERINCE WITH ALL THE OTHER LIKE MINDED CHAOTIC RAGER LIKE ME FOR SOME TIME NOW."

Scott started the music festival in 2018 after the release of his Astroworld album. As in previous years, this year's festival will take place at NRG Park in the "Sicko Mode" rapper's hometown of Houston, TX on November 5 and 6. The theme has been announced as "Open Your Eyes to a Whole New Universe."

In 2019, the festival's most previous occurrence since the pandemic, artists like Post Malone, Rosalía, Pharrell Williams, DaBaby, Lil Wayne, Young Thug, Playboi Carti, and Megan Thee Stallion, among others, fronted the lineup. There's no word on the 2021 lineup yet other than Scott himself, who is set to drop his Utopia album sometime later this year, but the rapper did assure fans that the list of acts performing would be "outlandish."
