Next generation pop power players Charli XCX and Carly Rae Jepsen join forces on their new release, “Backseat”. The song is the opening track to Charli’s latest mixtape Pop2, an '80s synth pop special chock-full of star cameos: Tove Lo, CupcakKe, Tommy Cash, and MØ among them.
On “Backseat”, the lovelorn duo champion escapism against pulsing electro sounds and a cinematic drum beat, culminating in their stark realization: “I’m alone.”
