The Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour kicks off September 8. 

We&#39;ve all heard the saying, &quot;All good things come to an end,&quot; and, sadly, that clich&eacute;&nbsp;applies to Sir Elton John. After weeks of teasing a mysterious announcement on his<a href="https://www.instagram.com/eltonjohn/?hl=en"> Instagram page</a>, the 70-year-old music icon has revealed he intends to retire&nbsp;from touring, telling Anderson Cooper, &quot;My priorities have changed,&quot; <a href="https://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/elton-john-announces-retirement-from-touring-w515829">Rolling Stone</a> reports.&nbsp;

But much to everyone&#39;s delight, the Rocket Man quickly reassured the crowd that before he takes his hiatus, he plans on going &quot;out with a bang,&quot; promising &quot;the most produced, fantastic show [he&#39;s] ever done&quot; manifested as the Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour.

Starting September 8th, the massive 300-date tour is set to span over the course of three years. And in even more exciting news, we&#39;ve learned that Gucci&#39;s Alessandro Michele will be designing his costumes for the stage. During the event at New York&#39;s Gotham Hall, Elton was clad in an embroiderd floral&nbsp;extravaganza of a blazer, and the phrase &quot;Gucci loves Elton&quot; spelled out on the back in pearls. No better pairing&nbsp;if you ask us.&nbsp;

Pre-sale tickets will be available starting tomorrow, January 24.&nbsp;
