After a successful remix of "Blinding Lights," the two singers have collaborated again on the first single from Rosalía's next album.

Just one week ago, Rosalía surprised us by announcing her next album, Motomami, which will arrive in 2022 on an as of yet undetermined date. Little by little, the artist is leaving us clues about what her third studio work holds in store, though it promises to be full of surprises. "La Fama," the first single from this new era, comes with help from The Weeknd.

Loaded with bachateros rhythms, but staying true to Rosalía's sound, it is a song that will not only make us move our hips, but goes deeper. "I wanted to write, in my own way, a bachata with a little story around ambition. Taking as a reference the lyrics of Ruben Blades or Patti Smith and the themes of Adventure, I ended up writing a story of romance with fame," said the artist.

In the video clip, put together by Director X, actor Danny Trejo is in charge of introducing Rosalía, who later goes on stage with a short sparkly dress that is transparent enough to show a hint of the singer's skin. The dazzling outfit makes her stand out from the subdued atmosphere in the room.

ROSALÍA - LA FAMA (Official Video) ft. The Weeknd

In the crowd, we find The Weeknd with glasses and a hat that complements his aviator jacket in black leather with red detailing. After a little fooling around with Rosalía, he ends up joining her on stage, where a fateful ending awaits him. As if that were not enough, the Canadian has dared to sing in Spanish, giving his voice a Latin air that reminds many of us of Romeo Santos.

However, this isn't the artists' first collaboration. In December of last year, Rosalía lent her voice to a remix of "Blinding Lights," a success for The Weeknd thanks to the incredible popularity that the song enjoyed on TikTok.

From J Balvin and Bad Bunny to Billie Eilish and Travis Scott, Rosalía is an expert in collaborations. For this reason, we are sure that "La Fama" will be an international hit.
